Description:
Reno County Education Cooperative #610 is seeking speech language pathologist assistants to work in Reno County, Approximately 40 miles northwest of Wichita, KS. SLPAs are responsible for providing support to the licensed speech language pathologist assigned to the school by creating materials, implementing speech therapy activities and lessons, and other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Understanding and compassion for all children.
  • Ability to use or learn various technological tools for instructional purposes, including troubleshooting.
  • Experience with data collection and reporting.
  • Adaptability for all new situations and programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all information about children and families.
  • Courtesy and tact with all other personnel.
  • Dependability with regular attendance and punctuality.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • Bachelors or Associates (or equivalent of 60 college credits) in communication sciences and disorders or related field preferred
  • Coursework or training in: Intro to Communication Disorders; Phonetics; Early Language Development; Disorders of Human Communication; Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing Mechanisms preferred
  • Prior experience in educational settings preferred
